According to the US Census Bureau, just after the middle of the month the Census Bureau will be releasing the 2012 One Year Estimates for geographies of 65k or more. This means we can get data for Oneida County and for the Metropolitan Statistical Area (Herkimer and Oneida Counties combined).
Ostensibly you could subtract out the Oneida County data from the MSA data to see what Herkimer County seems to look like. It's not an ideal thing to do, but if you were looking for some sort of indication of what was going on in Herkimer County that would be one way. On the other hand you could just wait til the next multi-year ACS release in October as well.
