Last week I posted about the
State, county and local shared of justice courts' fees and fines. This data all comes from the
New York State Unified Court System, which monitors some 1300 justice courts in New York State.
The tables below offer you a look at both counties' justice courts, focused on the local share of revenues generated by these courts. The are organized into two tables for each county. The first provides an alphabetical listing of each county's courts; the second is the same table but ordered by the amount of local revenues brought in by the courts. That way you can search for your local court alphabetically, and also see how they rank in terms of revenues. Of course the amount of money they generate is a function of how busy they are, so naturally some areas are money "prosperous" than others.
